The Impact of Academic Pressure on the Mental Health of Vietnamese Students
Abstract
The pursuit of knowledge is a fundamental aspect of personal and intellectual growth, which is widely respected by many people. High achievement, because of such dedication, is often recognized and celebrated. In Southeast Asian cultures, including Vietnam, academic achievement holds a significant place, often seen as a key to personal success and social mobility. This respect for education is deeply rooted in cultural, historical, and social factors, and it manifests in various aspects of life. This respect for education is deeply rooted in cultural, historical, and social factors, and it manifests in various aspects of life. However, too much academic pressure may lead to mental health issues. Excessive academic pressure, while often rooted in well-intentioned aspirations for success, can have detrimental effects on students' health. The research has surveyed nearly 300 students in Vietnam to find the relationship between Academic Pressure on Mental Health and make some suggestions to improve the situation.
