Perceptions of Higher Secondary School Teachers of Mizoram on Their Levels of Empowerment on Decision Making and Professional Growth

Abstract

The present study tries to find out the perceptions of the higher secondary school teachers of Mizoram on the level of their empowerment on areas of decision making and professional growth. 400 higher secondary school teachers from the selected 4 districts of Mizoram were taken as the sample of the study. The study found that majority of higher secondary school teachers perceived themselves as moderately empowered in decision making (91.25%) and professional growth (93.75%).
